Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Quality Line Inspector for the Machine Shop to ensure that machined components meet quality standards and customer specifications. The candidate will be responsible for in-process inspection, final inspection, and maintaining quality records during production activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspection of machined components.
- Check dimensions, tolerances, surface finish, and visual quality as per drawing/specifications.
- Use measuring instruments such as Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, Dial Gauge, and Thread Gauge.
- Identify and report quality defects, abnormalities, and non-conformities.
- Maintain inspection reports and quality documentation properly.
- Ensure production activities comply with quality standards and procedures.
- Coordinate with production operators and supervisors to resolve quality issues.
- Perform line patrol inspection and monitor process quality.
- Verify first-off samples before production approval.
- Support corrective and preventive actions for quality improvement.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain workplace discipline.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of machine shop inspection processes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T basics.
- Hands-on experience with measuring instruments.
- Good observation and analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge of machining processes such as CNC, VMC, Turning, Milling, and Drilling.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / ITI in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
