The platforms Phoenix runs on — the site, the event microsites and registration, Phoenix Pulse, the interactive layer on the floor, and the internal tooling — need one person who owns them running clean. Someone who keeps the code sound, the systems up and the roadmap honest. That ownership is this role.
As a Senior Tech & Experience Developer at Phoenix Live, you own the technology estate end to end — architecture and build, reliability and performance, the experience layer that reaches audiences, and the AI-native tooling the company is building on — and you guide the developers who build it with you. You make technology a source of certainty the whole company leans on.

01 WHAT YOU’LL OWN
Own the platforms
— Own architecture, build and quality across the site, microsites and registration.
— Own Phoenix Pulse and the internal tooling the company depends on.
— Set the standards for code, review, testing and documentation.
Own reliability
— Own uptime, performance and security across everything you ship.
— Own the show-day readiness of every platform an audience or client touches.
— Build so failure is planned for — if it can fail, it has a backup.
Own the experience layer
— Own the interactive and on-floor technology that reaches audiences.
— Partner with creative and production so the tech serves the show.
— Bring AI-native capability into the work where it genuinely earns its place.
Lead and grow
— Guide and develop the developers into precise, reliable owners.
— Own the roadmap and be honest about what it costs and what it returns.
— Build toward leading a technology team as the function grows.

What you’ll bring
— A proven record of owning platforms in production, not just features.
— Command of architecture, build, reliability and performance.
— The judgement to choose boring, durable solutions when they are right.
— Calm ownership when something breaks close to a show date.

Command across the toolkit
— Full-stack web development and platform architecture.
— APIs, databases, integrations and cloud infrastructure.
— Reliability, performance, security and deployment ownership.
Strong to have
— Interactive, real-time or on-floor experience technology.
— AI-native tooling, automation and internal platform building.
What sets you apart
— A platform you owned in production and kept standing.
— Developers you made better.
Experience — 6 – 8 years building and owning web platforms, product surfaces or interactive experience technology — with systems you owned in production.
Education & credentials — A background in computer science, engineering or a related field is preferred; a record of owning platforms that stayed up matters most.

You sit at the heart of Tech & Experience — owning the platforms, guiding the Developers, and working with Marketing, Creative and Operations on what gets built next. It’s the level where you both build cleanly yourself and start building the people who will.
