You will be a key member of the academic team at ISPP that works closely with several policy practitioners, including former and current civil servants and renowned experts across a wide range of domains. While you will directly support scholars' learning in the Public Policy, Design & Management (PDM) program, you will also support various programmes such as Lok Neeti, Executive Education and Case Study Centre.
For this specific role, ISPP is seeking candidates with a Master’s degree in Public Policy/ Econometrics/Statistics/ Economics or closely related fields. Candidates with prior project and/or teaching experience in one or more of these fields are strongly preferred.
JOB RESPONSIBILITY
Academic Support:
- Engaging with the faculty on various aspects of course delivery which may include, but not limited to, course design and development, preparation of evaluation rubrics, and evaluation or grading of scholar performance
- Supporting scholar learning through the conduct of tutorials to achieve course learning objectives, facilitating faculty feedback on student performance, and scheduling office hours for scholars
- Conducting academic research to aid course content revision/update, review of pedagogy and recommending improvements
- Support scholar research and help them to publish
Administrative Support:
- Managing course schedules, maintaining course resources including coursework and class readings, scholar grades and performance feedback through the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Ensuring timely conduct of classes as per schedule, recording of scholar attendance, and facilitation of in-class support to the faculty whenever required
- Any additional tasks that may fall within the purview of the academic team at ISPP

- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact and engage with scholars and ISPP faculty
- Excellent organisational skills, including managing a complex, varied workload and planning and prioritising tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and Hindi) to deal effectively, efficiently and appropriately with scholars, ISPP faculty and external partners
- Ability to operate and thrive in a fast-paced academic environment
- Ability to command authority and exercise control in pursuit of maintaining discipline and ensuring intellectual growth
- Must be comfortable making presentations and conducting seminar sessions
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Good IT skills, proficient with MS Office.
Education AND Experience
Must
- Master’s degree in Public Policy/Econometrics/Statistics/ Economics or closely related fields
- Prior project and/or teaching experience in one or more of these fields is strongly preferred.
- Should be proficient in data management and demonstrate ability to think critically, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of and experience using quantitative analysis software and tools like R/Python/STAT/SPSS is a major advantage.
Desirable
- Knowledge of Tableau/Power BI and other data visualisation software
- Previous experience in an academic setting
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
