ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with 2–3 years of experience or training under a CA firm. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Tally software and a proven ability to manage site-level expenses, petty cash, and labour payments across multiple real estate projects. This role requires ownership, discipline, and the ability to create financial clarity where none exists.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations & CEO Support
- Act as a direct accounting support to management and leadership teams.
- Assist in financial reviews, audits, and compliance checks.
- Convert discussions and decisions into structured accounting entries, reports, and actionable insights.
Business Systems & Data
- Maintain and manage accounts using Tally software with accuracy and discipline.
- Design and maintain Excel / Google Sheets-based dashboards for decision-making.
- Track performance of all departments and highlight exceptions, risks, and inefficiencies.
- Convert raw financial data into insights, summaries, and recommendations.
Site Expense & Cash Flow Management
- Track site-level expenses across all real estate projects.
- Manage petty cash transactions with proper documentation and reconciliation.
- Oversee labour payments and ensure timely disbursement with compliance to statutory requirements (TDS, GST).
- Monitor cash flow across sites and provide regular updates to leadership.
Process & SOP Development
- Independently design SOPs and workflows for core financial operations.
- Identify process gaps and build internal controls without step-by-step instructions.
- Ensure SOP adherence and continuous improvement in accounting practices.
REQUIRED SKILLS & MINDSET
Must-Have
- Strong command over Tally software and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets for MIS reporting.
- Solid understanding of statutory compliance (GST, TDS, PF, ESI).
- Ability to work independently with ambiguity.
- High ownership mindset with strong execution discipline.
- Strong analytical and logical thinking with attention to detail.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in real estate, hospitality, or operations-heavy environments.
- Prior exposure to SOP building or MIS roles.
- Comfort working directly with founders or senior leadership.
