What we need:
Reporting to the Data Centre Operations Manager, this role will perform the fundamental function to keep operational readiness of Digital Edge Data Centre environment during 24/7 daily operation shift. This role will be based in Digha, Navi Mumbai site office.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain 100% uptime of the datacenter.
- Ensure service delivery as per agreed SLA with Customer.
- Governance on vendor management.
- Responsible for 100% Safety compliance.
- Responsible for DC physical security.
- Preparation and Implementation of SOP, EOP, MOP for all types of work.
- Supervise and Support installation for Racks and stacks customer equipment
- Build, assess and continually improve internal and externally facing controlled documentation
- Finishes the assigned task and training in a timely manner.
- Responsible for monitoring customer applications and Digital Edge’s operational architecture
- Respond to alarms in accordance with Digital Edge procedures. Incident reporting and route cause analysis.
- Actively champion and implement the organization’s policies on health & safety, environment, energy, quality, information security, and business continuity, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinating with DC Director to ensure the All-Statutory forms were followed for the disposal of hazardous waste at the site level.(ex: DG used oil, batteries & E-Waste}.
- Day to day maintenance activities related to electrical/ Mechanical equipment. Ensure 100% PPM compliance. Attend all breakdown calls.
- Operation and maintenance of transformer, DG sets and electrical panels, UPS Systems, Server room, WTP, STP & Firefighting, HVAC systems like water cooled AC & Air cooled air conditions.
- Monitoring and operating the Equipment’s through BMS / SCADA.
- Ability to interact with customer and own staff.
- Coordinating with customers internal/ External Audit with respect to ISO and Technical.
- Spare management tracking with customers, weekly updates and follow—up with vendors for timely delivery of required critical spares.
- MOP, PTW & Risk Assessment preparing with Shift manager for Offline Pm Activity & Critical Activities and planning and implementation of Site Energy Savings.
- Responsible to maintain datacenter neat and clean.
- Strong in customer engagement having good understanding of customer expectations and meeting the requirement with decided path. Maintain transparency in communication with customer.
- Customer interaction and handling of incident, RCAs, SLA compliance and Space & Power Management.
- Work closely with PMO Team for effective new projects handover and takeover.
The successful candidate:
- Diploma / Degree in Electrical, engineering
- 10+ years’ experience in DC site operations
- Experience in customer service, operation centers or data centers
- Experience of copper / fiber cabling techniques (Installation, Termination & Testing)
- Basic knowledge of network.
