Key Responsibilities
- Footage Assembly: Reviewing raw material, selecting usable clips, and rearranging them into a logical sequence (assembly or rough cut).
- Audio Integration: Sourcing and adding voiceovers, background music, and sound effects, alongside balancing audio levels.
- Visual Enhancement: Performing color grading and color correction to set the mood and improve overall aesthetics.
- Motion Graphics & Effects: Adding titles, transitions, text overlays, and special effects to make the content engaging.
- Collaboration: Working closely with directors, producers, or marketing teams to ensure the final output matches the project brief and brand standards. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Essential Skills
- Software Proficiency: Mastery of non-linear editing (NLE) tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Adobe After Effects.
- Storytelling & Pacing: The ability to trim fluff, maintain visual continuity, and keep the viewer captivated.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulously catching mistakes, syncing audio and video flawlessly, and meeting tight deadlines. [1, 2, 3, 4]
