Job Summary:
The Manager of Supply Chain Planning has broad responsibilities for assisting the Business Unit and Sales and Operations Planning in developing and ensuring effective execution of the processes within the supply chains. The overall span of responsibilities involves leading across all supply chain processes, specifically, raw materials procurement & planning, warehousing & transport management & international trade transactions. In addition, managing inventory levels and capacity to meet customer service levels and working capital targets for the business is critical. This position is an integral part of the business unit & responsibility to deliver on its service and execution component of their value proposition.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The overall span of responsibilities involves:
Own strict adherence to organisation safety policies while carrying out entire supply chain operations.
Global Supply Chain Strategy – Inventory Management, Capacity Management
Achieving business unit objectives – KPIs.
Tactical raw material purchasing and inventory management.
Coordinate with suppliers to have raw material available for scheduled production. Resolve raw material shipment discrepancies/issues.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure that production schedules are sequenced for maximum productivity and to fulfil customer delivery requirements.
Oversee materials and inventories for all plants in India.
Regularly monitor and address Non-Working, Slow-Moving (NWSM) inventory. Resolution may involve redeployment to another location, re-labelling to a co-spec, obtaining technical approval to consume, vendor return, modifying procurement strategy, etc.
Design and enforce effective warehouse processes with 6S, maintain FIFO & binning, label traceability and cycle counting integrity, batch/lot traceability, and non-conformance/aged stock segregation.
Manage domestic inbound and outbound transportation operations to ensure timely, cost-effective, safe, and compliant movement of materials across locations while improving delivery reliability and logistics efficiency.
Evaluate/incorporate/generate ideas for new technology to improve overall business unit operations (i.e., forecasting, reorder point, needed reports/capabilities, etc.).
Works with management to organise schedule changes due to backlogs, design changes, and material/labour shortages.
Lead end-to-end international trade (import & export) transactions strictly in compliance with statutory rules & customs & DGFT compliance guidelines.
Lead the customer service team to enhance overall customer experience through delivery performance to the customers globally with continual improvement in relevant areas.
Communicate and coordinate with suppliers, customers & all relevant stakeholders across the organisation.
Other duties as assigned.

Education:
Bachelors-Business Admin or equiv exp Completed
