To manage end-to-end import and export operations, ensure compliance with international trade regulations, handle documentation, facilitate timely shipping and clearance, and coordinate across departments (Purchase, Accounts, Operations, etc.).
A. Import Operation
1.Coordinate with overseas suppliers on order execution and shipping schedules.
2.Ensure timely receipt of shipping documents – Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Certificate of Origin, etc.
3.Liaise with freight forwarders and CHAs: obtain comparative quotes, get approvals, and finalize CHA for clearance.
4.Manage and maintain the DHL import account.
5.Track shipments and update the Operations team regularly.
6.Ensure payment of applicable duties and taxes.
7.Close the import cycle from remittance to DGFT and bank settlement.
8.Maintain detailed records of CTH classification, duty paid, and prevent SCNs.
B. Export Operation
1.Prepare and verify all export documents – Invoice, Packing List, Shipping Bill, BL, Certificate of Origin, etc.
2.Obtain SVB approvals.
3.Coordinate with buyers, forwarders, and transporters for scheduling.
4.Manage DGFT and EPC-related activities, including claiming incentives.
5.Ensure timely dispatch and follow-up for delivery confirmation.
6.Obtain Advance Authorization and Duty Drawback claims RIPL.
7.Maintain all export documentation for audit and compliance.
C. Compliance & Documentation
1.Ensure compliance with international trade rules (INCOTERMS, HS Codes, etc.).
2.Maintain all statutory records for audits and government reporting.
3.Handle import/export licensing for EPC registrations.
4.Liaise with vendors for AEO certification, audits, and renewals.
5.Communicate effectively with Customs, DGFT, banks, and other government bodies.
6.Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders (CHA, shipping lines, warehouse, etc.).
7. Additionally he will also support purchase team.
D. MIS & Reporting
1.Maintain accurate shipment records.
2.Generate regular reports on pending shipments, duties paid, etc.
3.Assist in freight budgeting and logistics cost control.
4.Coordinate with RCMC for international certifications.
Key Skills Required:
1.In-depth knowledge of import/export procedures and documentation
2.Understanding of INCOTERMS and HS Code classification
3.Experience in customs clearance, ICEGATE, DGFT, and AEO processes
4.Strong communication and coordination skills
5.Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel).
6.Problem-solving ability and time management
Qualifications & Experience:
1) Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, International Business, Logistics, or related fields
2) 2–5 years of relevant experience in import/export operations
3) Prior experience in AEO, DGFT, and bank documentation preferred
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
