Job Summary
The PLC Programmer/Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and commissioning automation software for specialized welding machines and Resistance Welding SPMs (Special Purpose Machines).
Key Responsibilities
- PLC Programming: Develop PLC code (Ladder Logic, Structured Text) for Siemens, Allen Bradley, or Mitsubishi PLC systems.
- HMI/SCADA Development:Design user-friendly Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) for machine operators.
- System Integration:Integrate PLCs with Servo drives, Motion Controllers, and sensors for precision welding applications.
- Commissioning:Perform onsite and offsite testing and commissioning of automated welding machines.
- Troubleshooting:Diagnose and fix issues in automation systems, electrical circuits, and control panels.
- Documentation:Maintain technical documentation for PLC logic, electrical schematics, and operating procedures.
Candidate Profile
- Education:BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering (or Diploma with equivalent experience).
- Experience:2-6 years in industrial automation, specifically with SPMs.
- Skills:
- Strong expertise inSiemens (TIA Portal/Step7)orAllen Bradley (Studio 5000)platforms.
- Experience withResistance Weldingtechnology is a strong plus.
- Experience withServo systemsand motion control.
- Ability to read and design electrical schematic drawings (E-plan experience is a plus)
