Overview
We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Freelance Architect to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Develop conceptual designs and detailed architectural drawings using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, and NavisWorks
- Prepare presentation materials employing Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch for client proposals and project visualisations
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors through negotiation to ensure project requirements are met effectively
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and budget constraints through effective project management practices
- Conduct site visits when necessary to oversee construction progress and ensure design compliance
- Create joinery details and specifications in collaboration with manufacturers and contractors
- Utilise CAD tools for precise technical detailing, including construction documentation and joinery specifications
- Stay updated with industry trends, building codes, sustainability standards, and innovative materials
Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, Rhino 3D (including Rhinoceros 3D), Grasshopper 3D, NavisWorks, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong understanding of construction processes and project management principles
- Expertise in negotiation with clients, suppliers, and contractors to achieve optimal outcomes
- Experience in joinery design and technical detailing for bespoke projects
- Ability to produce high-quality visualisations using Sketch or similar rendering tools
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently
- Knowledge of CAD standards and best practices for architectural documentation
- Familiarity with 3ds Max or similar software is advantageous but not essential
