A Sewing Machine Technician is responsible for fixing, maintaining, and setting up sewing machines. They make sure the machines run smoothly to keep production going without delays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair and Maintenance:Fix broken machines and replace worn-out parts like needles, belts, or motors.Perform regular maintenance like cleaning and oiling the machines to keep them working properly.
- Setup and Installation:Install new sewing machines and set them up correctly.Adjust machine settings to ensure good stitch quality and performance.
- Testing:Test machines after repairs to make sure they work as expected.
- Troubleshooting:Identify problems with machines and fix them quickly to avoid production delays.
- Documentation:Keep records of repairs and maintenance done on each machine.Track and report when parts need to be replaced.
- Training:Teach staff how to use machines properly and keep them maintained.
- Safety:Follow safety rules and make sure machines are safe to use.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience fixing or maintaining sewing machines, especially in textile industry.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of how sewing machines work and how to repair them.
