Job Summary
The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all human resource functions within the dealership, including recruitment, employee engagement, performance management, statutory compliance, training and development, payroll coordination, and disciplinary matters. The role requires ensuring effective manpower planning and fostering a productive work environment aligned with organizational goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesRecruitment & Manpower Planning
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for sales, service, finance, customer care, and support functions.
- Coordinate with department heads to identify manpower requirements and ensure timely hiring.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies through job portals, employee referrals, campus recruitment, and local hiring drives.
- Monitor and achieve approved manpower targets across all locations.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Address employee grievances and maintain a positive work environment.
- Conduct employee engagement activities, welfare initiatives, and retention programs.
- Facilitate onboarding and induction programs for new employees.
- Promote company culture, values, and employee satisfaction.
Performance Management
- Coordinate performance appraisal processes and monitor employee performance.
- Support department heads in setting KPIs and performance improvement plans.
- Track probation reviews, confirmations, and employee development plans.
Training & Development
- Identify training needs and coordinate technical, behavioral, and compliance training programs.
- Monitor training effectiveness and maintain training records.
- Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Manage employee records, attendance, leave administration, and HR documentation.
- Coordinate payroll inputs, incentives, and employee benefits administration.
- Handle disciplinary actions, domestic enquiries, show-cause notices, and other employee-related matters.
- Maintain HRMIS and generate periodic HR reports.
HR Analytics & Reporting
- Prepare and present HR dashboards and reports on recruitment, attrition, manpower, absenteeism, and employee engagement.
- Analyze workforce trends and recommend improvement initiatives.
- Support management in HR budgeting and workforce planning.
Required Qualifications
- MBA/MSW in Human Resources, Personnel Management, or related field.
- 5–8 years of HR experience, preferably in the automobile dealership, retail, or service industry.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, statutory compliance, recruitment, and performance management.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR management systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
