Position: Pre-Sales Consultant
Location: Calicut
Experience: 1 - 3 years
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Identify and generate new business opportunities.
- Develop relationships with consultants, builders, contractors, architects, developers, and corporate clients.
- Conduct market research and generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, online portals, and site visits.
2. Client Engagement & Sales Support
- Understand customer requirements through meetings and site visits.
- Conduct technical presentations and product demonstrations.
- Support technical and commercial discussions, negotiations, and follow-ups.
3. Tender Management
- Identify, evaluate, and manage online and offline tenders.
- Prepare and submit tender, pre-qualification, and technical compliance documents.
- Attend pre-bid meetings and coordinate tender clarifications.
4. Proposal Preparation & Estimation
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals, quotations, and commercial offers.
- Coordinate with Design and Estimation teams for BOQ, costing, and technical compliance.
- Ensure proposals meet customer specifications and company standards.
5. Work Order & Order Processing
- Create work orders against customer Purchase Orders (PO) or Letters of Intent (LOI).
- Verify commercial, technical, and contractual details before work order creation.
- Process work order revisions and maintain accurate order records in ERP/CRM.
6. Project Coordination
- Coordinate with Design, Procurement, Production, Stores, and Project teams.
- Ensure smooth handover from sales to project execution.
- Monitor timely submission of project-related documents and approvals.
7. CRM & Documentation Management
- Maintain CRM records, sales pipeline, and customer communications.
- Manage tender, quotation, work order, and project documentation.
- Process Performance Bank Guarantees (PBG), EMD, and statutory documents.
8. Reporting & Business Performance
- Prepare sales activity, lead generation, and tender status reports.
- Monitor opportunity conversion, order booking, and sales performance.
- Support business growth initiatives and continuous process improvement.
Required Skills
- Technical understanding of electrical systems and control panels.
- Tender preparation and bid management.
- Techno-commercial proposal preparation.
- BOQ interpretation and costing coordination.
- Work order creation and ERP/CRM management.
- Customer relationship management.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software.
