Commercial & Trade Executive — Mumbai

About the Role
CleanIndia Group is a 33-year-old integrated façade services company headquartered in Pune, with active operations across Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Hyderabad, and Kolkata. We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Commercial & Trade Executive to manage our Mumbai office's finance administration, banking coordination, trade documentation, and procurement follow-up.
This is a high-trust, multi-functional role that sits at the intersection of finance, trade compliance, and vendor management. The right candidate will be comfortable switching between bank liaison work in the morning and customs documentation in the afternoon.
Key Responsibilities
A. Purchase Order Management
- Release and track purchase orders in Tally / ERP
- Maintain PO register — open, closed, and pending orders
- Coordinate with vendors on PO acknowledgement and revisions
B. Banking & Financial Instruments
- Liaise with the company's bankers on Bank Guarantees (BGs) and Letters of Credit (LCs)
- Track BG/LC expiry dates, renewal timelines, and documentation requirements
- Monitor Fixed Deposits — maturity dates, renewals, and interest tracking
- Prepare bank submissions and coordinate with internal accounts team
C. Import & Export Documentation
- Prepare and verify import/export documentation — invoices, packing lists, BL, COO, etc.
- Coordinate with the Customs House Agent (CHA) for customs clearance
- Ensure compliance with DGFT, EXIM, and RBI guidelines relevant to trade transactions
- Track shipment status and resolve documentation discrepancies
D. Vendor & Material Follow-Up
- Follow up with vendors on delivery timelines against open POs
- Escalate delays and coordinate with the procurement / project team
- Maintain vendor communication log
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in a trading, manufacturing, or construction/infrastructure company
- Hands-on experience with Bank Guarantees and Letters of Credit — mandatory
- Working knowledge of import/export documentation and CHA coordination — strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Tally or any standard ERP for PO management
- Comfortable with MS Excel, email, and WhatsApp-based coordination
- B.Com graduate minimum; diploma or certificate in Import/Export Management is a plus
- Good communication in English and Hindi; Marathi an advantage for Mumbai vendor dealings
