Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack Java & React Developer to join our engineering team. You will be responsible for architecting and developing scalable, cloud-native applications using Java, React, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on microservices-based architecture, modern frontend frameworks, and cutting-edge cloud technologies.
Key ResponsibilitiesMicroservices Development
- Architect and implement scalable, high-performance Java-based microservices using Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
- Design and develop RESTful APIs that support both synchronous and asynchronous data processing workflows
- Ensure microservices follow best practices for scalability, reliability, and maintainability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define service boundaries and integration points
Backend Development
- Develop robust server-side applications using Java 17+ and the Spring ecosystem (Spring Framework, Spring Data, Spring Security)
- Implement efficient data access layers using relational databases with proper ORM frameworks
- Write clean, maintainable code following SOLID principles and OOP design concepts
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
Frontend Development
- Build and integrate responsive frontend components using React or Angular
- Ensure seamless communication between frontend and Java backend services
- Implement efficient data binding and state management patterns
- Optimize frontend performance and user experience
Cloud-Native Development
- Deploy and manage containerized applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using Cloud Run and other GCP services
- Implement cloud-native design patterns and best practices
- Ensure applications are scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient
CI/CD Pipeline Management
- Set up and maintain comprehensive CI/CD pipelines for Java and React applications
- Utilize tools such as Tekton, Maven/Gradle, and GitHub Actions
- Implement automated testing, building, and deployment processes
- Monitor pipeline health and optimize for faster deployment cycles
Required Qualifications
- Java Development: Strong proficiency in Java 17+ with hands-on experience in Spring Boot and Spring Cloud
- Frontend Technologies: Proven experience with React or Angular for building responsive web applications
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP): Demonstrated experience deploying and managing applications on GCP, particularly with Cloud Run
- RESTful API Development: Solid understanding of REST principles and experience creating scalable APIs
- Database Design: Experience with relational databases and data access layers
- CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Maven, Gradle, or similar technologies
- Version Control: Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Mentorship Experience: At least 1 year of experience mentoring, guiding, and supporting junior developers
- Senior-Level Expertise: 3-4 years of senior-level experience with a proven track record of conducting effective code reviews
- OOP Design Concepts: Deep understanding and practical application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) design principles
- Microservices Architecture: Strong opinions and hands-on experience with microservices-based architecture
- Event-Driven Design: Experience with event-driven design patterns and asynchronous processing
- Container Technologies: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration
- Cloud Services: Familiarity with additional GCP services such as Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud Firestore, or Cloud SQL
- Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional software development experience
- Demonstrated portfolio or GitHub repository showcasing relevant projects
