Job Title: TGT Social Science (SST) Teacher

Job Summary
Lzebra Public School is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and student-centric TGT Social Science (SST) Teacher to teach students of Classes VI–X. The ideal candidate should be capable of making History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics engaging through interactive teaching methods while fostering critical thinking, curiosity, and real-world understanding.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Social Science (History, Geography, Civics, and Economics) to students of Classes VI–X as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans using activity-based and experiential learning techniques.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment.
- Assess student progress through tests, assignments, projects, and regular evaluations.
- Maintain academic records, attendance, and student performance reports.
- Integrate technology and digital teaching tools into classroom instruction.
- Encourage discussions, debates, map work, case studies, and project-based learning.
- Prepare students for school examinations, competitions, and other academic activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding students' academic progress and overall development.
- Participate actively in school events, assemblies, educational trips, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to enhance curriculum planning and school initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Science/History/Geography/Political Science/Economics or a related discipline.
- B.Ed. from a recognized institution.
- CTET/State TET qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 1–3 years of teaching experience in a CBSE school preferred (Freshers with excellent subject knowledge may also apply).
Required Skills
- Strong command of Social Science concepts and the CBSE curriculum.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Ability to simplify complex topics and make learning engaging.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Smart Boards, and digital teaching platforms.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
