About the Role
We are looking for compassionate, responsible and reliable Nursing Assistants / Caregivers to provide quality patient care and daily living support at patients' homes across Chennai.
This is a part-time, shift-based opportunity, suitable for candidates who are looking for flexible work and additional income.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate and respectful care to patients at home.
- Assist elderly, bedridden and dependent patients with daily activities.
- Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing and personal hygiene.
- Assist with feeding and hydration as required.
- Support safe walking, mobility and bed-to-chair transfers.
- Assist with patient positioning and comfort.
- Support toileting and continence care.
- Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable patient environment.
- Observe the patient's general condition and promptly report any changes to the assigned nurse/supervisor.
- Record basic care activities and observations as required.
- Maintain patient dignity, privacy and confidentiality at all times.
- Follow infection-control and patient-safety practices.
- Follow the care plan and instructions provided by the supervising nurse.
- Communicate professionally with patients and their family members.
Candidate Requirements
- Nursing Assistant / GDA / Patient Care Assistant / Home Health Aide certification preferred.
- 10th / 12th pass candidates with relevant caregiving experience may also apply.
- Previous hospital, elderly-care or home-care experience is an advantage.
- Good communication and a caring attitude.
- Physically fit and able to assist patients with mobility and transfers.
- Willingness to travel to patients' homes within Chennai.
- Reliable, punctual and professional.
- Tamil communication is essential; basic English is an advantage.
Important
This is a Nursing Assistant / Caregiver role and not a Registered Nurse position.
Clinical nursing procedures and responsibilities outside the Nursing Assistant's training and scope will be handled by qualified nursing staff.
Work Schedule
- Part-time / shift-based
- 4-hour, 6-hour, 8-hour and 12-hour shifts depending on patient requirements
- Day and night shifts may be available
- Weekend shifts may be available
- Flexible shift availability is preferred
Compensation
Payment will be provided on a per-shift basis, depending on shift duration, patient requirements, experience and location.
