Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and knowledgeable Graphic Design Faculty member to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, mentoring students, and helping them develop industry-relevant design skills. The faculty member will deliver engaging lectures, conduct practical sessions, evaluate student performance, and contribute to curriculum development.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach graphic design courses to undergraduate and/or diploma students.
- Deliver lectures and hands-on training in graphic design principles and software.
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, projects, and assessments.
- Mentor students and provide academic guidance.
- Evaluate student work and maintain academic records.
- Stay current with design trends, emerging technologies, and industry practices.
- Participate in curriculum development and academic planning.
- Organize workshops, portfolio reviews, exhibitions, and design-related events.
- Collaborate with faculty members and support institutional initiatives.
- Ensure a positive and engaging classroom environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- 1–5 years of teaching and/or industry experience (freshers with strong portfolios may also apply, if applicable).
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Knowledge of Figma, Canva, CorelDRAW, UI/UX basics, motion graphics, or video editing is an added advantage.
- Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Passion for mentoring students and fostering creativity.
Preferred Skills
- Portfolio demonstrating creative and professional design work.
- Understanding of branding, typography, layout design, digital media, and print production.
- Ability to guide students in portfolio development and industry projects.
- Experience with AI-assisted design tools is a plus.
