Design Coordination & Engineering
Review architectural and structural requirements to develop optimal PEB solutions for warehouses, factories, logistics facilities, aircraft hangars, and commercial buildings
Coordinate with design teams and PEB manufacturers to finalize primary framing (columns, rafters, purlins), secondary members, and cladding systems
Review and approve structural calculations, design drawings, and connection details prepared by PEB suppliers
Ensure designs comply with relevant codes (IS 800, AISC, MBMA standards) and client specifications
Optimize building geometry, bay spacing, and structural systems for cost efficiency and constructability
Coordinate integration of MEP systems, cranes, mezzanines, and special loading requirements into PEB design
Manufacturing & Fabrication Supervision
Monitor fabrication activities at the manufacturer's facility to ensure quality and adherence to approved drawings
Conduct factory inspections to verify material quality, welding standards, surface treatment, and dimensional accuracy
Review mill test certificates, welding procedure specifications (WPS), and quality control documentation
Approve pre-dispatch inspections and coordinate logistics for timely delivery of building components to site
Ensure proper marking, packing, and documentation of all structural members and accessories for site identification
Site Erection & Construction Management
Supervise site preparation activities including foundation work, anchor bolt placement, and grouting
Plan and coordinate erection sequences for mainframes, secondary framing, roof and wall panels, and accessories
Manage erection teams, riggers, welders, and specialty contractors during installation
Ensure proper use of lifting equipment (cranes, forklifts) and adherence to safe erection practices
Monitor alignment, plumbness, verticality, and dimensional tolerances during assembly
Oversee installation of roofing systems, wall cladding, insulation, flashings, gutters, downspouts, doors, windows, and accessories
Quality Assurance & Testing
Implement quality control procedures for both fabrication and erection phases
Conduct pre-erection checks of foundation levels, anchor bolt positions, and base plate grouting
Monitor welding quality through visual inspection and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) when specified
Verify bolt tightening torque values and connection integrity
Inspect roof and wall panel installation for proper overlaps, sealing, and weather-tightness
Document quality checks through inspection reports and photographic records
Project Planning & Scheduling
Develop detailed erection schedules coordinating fabrication delivery with site readiness
Plan material staging areas, temporary works, and site logistics
Coordinate PEB activities with civil foundation work, MEP installations, and finishing trades
Track progress against milestones and implement recovery plans for delays
Manage material inventory and ensure availability of fasteners, sealants, and accessories
Safety Management
Enforce safety protocols for working at heights, lifting operations, and steel erection activities
Conduct daily safety briefings and toolbox talks specific to PEB erection hazards
Ensure proper use of fall protection systems, safety harnesses, and personal protective equipment
Coordinate with safety officers to implement safe work permits for hot work, crane operations, and confined spaces
Investigate safety incidents and implement corrective actions
Vendor & Contractor Coordination
Manage relationships with PEB manufacturers, erection contractors, and material suppliers
Review and approve subcontractor method statements and risk assessments
