Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and empathetic Education / Sales Counsellor to guide students and prospective candidates regarding educational programs, courses, career opportunities, and available support initiatives.
The ideal candidate should have strong communication and counselling skills, be comfortable speaking with students and parents, and have the ability to convert enquiries into meaningful enrolments while maintaining the organisation’s nonprofit values.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel students and individuals regarding suitable education and career opportunities.
- Understand the student's academic background, interests, goals, and requirements.
- Explain courses, programs, eligibility criteria, benefits, and application procedures.
- Handle enquiries through calls, WhatsApp, email, and other communication channels.
- Follow up with prospective students and maintain regular communication.
- Generate and manage leads through outreach, referrals, campaigns, and community engagement.
- Assist students throughout the registration and admission process.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, follow-ups, applications, and conversions.
- Meet assigned counselling, outreach, and enrolment targets.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, institutions, and community members.
- Participate in educational awareness campaigns, seminars, workshops, and outreach activities.
- Work closely with the education and outreach team to achieve organisational goals.
- Provide honest and accurate information and maintain professional and ethical counselling practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline preferred.
- Previous experience in education counselling, tele-counselling, sales, admissions, or customer service is an advantage.
- Freshers with excellent communication and interpersonal skills may also apply.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good knowledge of basic computer applications and MS Office.
- Comfortable using WhatsApp, email, CRM, or lead-management systems.
- Ability to communicate professionally with students and parents.
