JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Maintenance Executive
Position Summary
The Maintenance Executive is responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning, preventive maintenance, and timely repair of all equipment, utilities, fixtures, and facilities across CAARA restaurants, cafés, kitchens, and corporate premises. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, maintaining safety standards, controlling maintenance costs, and ensuring uninterrupted business operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesPreventive Maintenance
- Execute preventive maintenance schedules for all restaurant and café equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain preventive maintenance records and service logs.
- Ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Breakdown Maintenance
- Attend and resolve maintenance complaints promptly.
- Diagnose faults and coordinate repairs to minimize operational disruption.
- Escalate major repairs requiring external vendors or specialized services.
- Monitor closure of maintenance tickets within agreed timelines.
Facility Management
- Ensure proper upkeep of outlet infrastructure and facilities.
- Monitor lighting, air-conditioning, water supply, drainage systems, and electrical installations.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of utility areas.
- Ensure outlets remain operational and guest-ready at all times.
Vendor Management
- Coordinate with maintenance contractors and service providers.
- Monitor vendor performance and service quality.
- Verify service reports and maintenance invoices.
- Ensure Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs) are adhered to.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with electrical and fire safety standards.
- Conduct periodic inspections of fire-fighting equipment.
- Identify and report potential safety hazards.
- Support statutory and regulatory compliance requirements.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor inventory of maintenance tools, spare parts, and consumables.
- Maintain records of material consumption.
- Assist in controlling maintenance expenses and reducing equipment downtime.
- Recommend cost-effective maintenance solutions.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain maintenance registers and service records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
- Track recurring equipment issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Submit reports to management as required.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Maintenance Engineering.
- ITI certification in Electrical/Mechanical trades will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of maintenance experience in Restaurants, Cafés, Hospitality, Retail, Food & Beverage, Commercial Facilities, or Facility Management.
- Experience in handling kitchen equipment and refrigeration systems preferred.
