Role Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Project Lead to join our offshore team and lead Business-as-Usual (BAU) projects focused on the upgrade and modernization of .NET applications, Oracle databases, and server infrastructure.
- The ideal candidate will possess strong project leadership capabilities, a solid understanding of .NET and Oracle technology landscapes, and proven experience managing application upgrade and migration initiatives. The role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing project execution, managing stakeholder communication, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful delivery within agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Job Description /Responsibilities:
- Technical Execution
- Analyze existing systems to understand the BAU project scope under the guidance of the Technical Lead
- Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of BAU projects involving .NET application upgrades, Oracle database upgrades, and server infrastructure modernization.
- Execute application development based on user stories and technical requirements
- Provide regular status updates on tasks, progress, and outcomes to the Technical Lead
- Manage application source code in Azure DevOps, ensuring proper version control practices (check-in/check-out, conflict resolution)
- Design and execute comprehensive unit testing
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepare deployment plans and environment setup checklists

- 2. Quality & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to organizational IT policies, security standards, and compliance guidelines
- Deliver BAU projects within defined timelines and agreed schedules
- Follow IOP (Internal Operating Procedures) for all project activities
- Implement and validate:
- Backup strategies
- Rollback procedures
- Disaster recovery plans
- Support risk mitigation to ensure a seamless upgrade process
Technical Skills (Mandatory):
- Proven experience working on technology upgrade or migration projects
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Node.js, React
- VB.NET, ASP.NET
- Oracle DB
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on expertise in:
- Knowledge on SWIFT
- Knowledge of Rumba and prior experience in upgrade projects
- Experience in Windows server administration, virtualization, and cloud/on-prem environments Proficiency in Azure DevOps (task tracking, repository management)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Understanding of IT security standards, compliance, and best practices
- Ability to work independently in offshore/onshore collaboration models
- Strong ownership and accountability for deliverables
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft .NET, Oracle, Azure/AWS)
