Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Modular Furniture Supervisor to oversee the end-to-end processing, manufacturing, or site installation of modular furniture (kitchens, wardrobes, office workstations, and storage units). In this role, you will lead a team of technicians, carpenters, and machine operators, ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Site & Production Oversight: Supervise daily floor operations or site execution for modular furniture projects, ensuring strict adherence to CAD drawings, technical specs, and cutting lists.
- Site Measurement & Verification: Conduct accurate pre-installation site measurements, checking levels, plumbing/electrical points, and wall readiness before dispatch/assembly.
- Team Management: Lead, delegate, and supervise carpenters, fitters, machine operators, and helpers. Allocate tasks to ensure daily output targets are met.
- Quality Assurance (QA/QC): Inspect raw materials (BWP/BWR plywood, MDF, particle board), edge banding, laminates, and hardware fittings (e.g., Blum, Hettich, Hafele) for defects before and during assembly.
- Hardware & Material Handling: Ensure correct usage of specialized hardware, soft-close hinges, tandem boxes, and modular joining fittings (minifix, dowels).
- Vendor & Department Coordination: Coordinate between design teams, factory managers, logistics, and site clients to clear technical queries and maintain delivery timelines.
- Inventory & Snagging: Track stock of panel materials and hardware. Conduct post-installation walkthroughs to identify and resolve snag lists/defects immediately.
- Safety & Workplace Standards: Enforce strict shop-floor and site safety practices, personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance, and proper material handling protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: ITI, Diploma in Interior Design / Civil / Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 3 to 4years of hands-on experience in modular furniture manufacturing or site execution (modular kitchens, wardrobes, panel processing).
- Technical Knowledge:
o Proficient in reading 2D/3D technical drawings, CAD layouts, and production cutlists.
o Deep understanding of edge-banding machines, panel saws (Beam Saw, CNC routers), multi-boring machines, and cold presses.
o Expert knowledge of modular hardware brands (Hettich, Blum, Hafele, Ebco).
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving under tight deadlines, clear communication, and client-handling skills.
Pay: ₹9,232.27 - ₹33,141.68 per month
