Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Jamnagar for a BOQs Project Head in the construction industry. The BOQs Project Head will lead the preparation, review, and management of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for large construction and industrial projects, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with design and contractual requirements. The role involves coordinating with design, engineering, procurement, and site execution teams to validate quantities, monitor cost implications, and update BOQs in line with design changes and site conditions. The position holder will oversee project controls related to quantities and budgets, support tendering and bidding processes, evaluate contractor and vendor quotes against BOQs, and identify cost optimization opportunities. Daily responsibilities include monitoring project progress against BOQ-based cost baselines, preparing reports for management and clients, ensuring adherence to safety and compliance standards, and mentoring junior quantity and project control staff.
Qualifications
- Solid expertise in Construction Management and Project Management, with experience leading complex construction or industrial projects from planning through execution.
- Strong capabilities in Budgeting and Project Control, including cost estimation, cost tracking, variance analysis, and management reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in Procurement and contract administration, including vendor evaluation, tendering support, and alignment of contracts with BOQs.
- Proficiency in BOQ preparation, review, and quantity take-off using relevant software tools and industry-standard methods of measurement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; advanced certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, equivalent) are an advantage.
- Familiarity with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality management practices in the construction and industrial sectors.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in all quantity- and cost-related work.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and guide junior team members.
- Ability to work on-site in Jamnagar on a full-time basis and adapt to dynamic project needs
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
