Job Summary
- Position: Sr. Engineer/AM (Testing)
- Department: Quality Assurance / Material Testing
- Industry: Railways / Transportation Infrastructure / Engineer Plastic industry.
- Reports To: Head of Quality / Chief Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Operations: Oversee daily testing of engineering plastic materials.
- Ensure Compliance: Align lab procedures with RDSO, ISO/IEC 17025, and BIS standards. Test method as per ASTM,ISO,IEC 6263.
- Certify Results: Candidate should be able to be testing on UTM, Izod Impact Tester , Muffle Furnace ,MFI, with technical test reports.
- Calibrate Equipment: Schedule regular maintenance and calibration for all testing machinery.
- Manage Inventory: Monitor stock levels of chemicals, reagents, and consumable tools.
- Enforce Safety: Implement strict hazard controls and waste disposal protocols.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, or CIEPT, or M.Sc. in Chemistry.
- Experience: 5+ years in a material testing lab, preferably within the railway sector.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of non-destructive testing (NDT) and destructive testing.
- Soft Skills: Analytical problem-solving.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
