We are looking for an experienced Project Manager – Marine to plan, coordinate, and execute marine and offshore engineering projects from commencement to completion. The candidate will be responsible for project planning, manpower and material coordination, client communication, cost control, quality, safety, and timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and execute marine, shipbuilding, ship repair, and offshore projects.
- Prepare project schedules, work plans, manpower requirements, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with clients, shipyards, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Monitor project progress and ensure completion within the approved time, cost, and quality requirements.
- Supervise installation, fabrication, commissioning, maintenance, and other marine engineering activities.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, BOQs, work scopes, and project documents.
- Coordinate procurement and ensure timely availability of materials and equipment at site.
- Manage project manpower, subcontractors, and site activities.
- Monitor project costs, prepare progress reports, and control project expenses.
- Ensure compliance with HSE requirements, marine standards, class requirements, and client specifications.
- Conduct regular project/site meetings and coordinate with the engineering and execution teams.
- Identify project risks, delays, and technical issues and take corrective actions.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and client approvals.
- Review and approve work completion documents, measurement sheets, WDCs, invoices, and other project documentation.
- Maintain proper project records, reports, correspondence, and documentation.
- Handle client queries, technical discussions, variations, and project-related negotiations.
- Ensure proper project handover and close-out upon completion.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Diploma degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in marine, shipbuilding, ship repair, offshore, or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of marine project execution and site operations.
- Experience in managing manpower, subcontractors, materials, and project schedules.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and project management tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work at shipyards, marine/offshore project sites, and under tight deadlines.
