ROLE SUMMARY
The Associate Professional Middleware ETL Infrastructure Engineer specializing in Informatica and OBIEE is responsible for managing data integration pipelines and business intelligence infrastructure. This role ensures reliable ETL workflows and high-performing BI reporting capabilities across the enterprise.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and manage Informatica PowerCenter ETL workflows, sessions, and mappings
- Administer OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) environment including RPD, catalog, and dashboards
- Integrate Informatica pipelines with source systems (databases, flat files, APIs) and target data warehouses
- Monitor ETL job execution, handle failures, and optimize throughput for large data volumes
- Manage OBIEE repository (Physical, Logical, and Presentation layers) and semantic model changes
- Collaborate with data analysts and BI developers to support new reporting requirements
- Perform Informatica and OBIEE upgrades, patches, and environment refreshes
- Maintain data lineage documentation and ETL operational runbooks
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 7-10 years of experience in data integration and BI infrastructure
- Strong hands-on expertise in Informatica PowerCenter (Designer, Workflow Manager, Monitor)
- Proficiency in OBIEE administration and RPD development
- Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, and data warehouse concepts (star schema, slowly changing dimensions)
- Knowledge of Oracle Database administration as it relates to ETL and BI workloads
- Unix/Linux administration skills and scripting (Shell, Python)
- Understanding of data quality, data governance, and metadata management
GOOD TO HAVE
- Experience with Informatica Cloud (IICS) or other cloud ETL tools
- Knowledge of Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) as an OBIEE successor
- Exposure to modern data lakehouse platforms (Snowflake, Databricks)
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Informatica or Oracle BI certifications are preferred
