Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Service Engineer to join our UPS Energy Division. The candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Online UPS systems, batteries, and associated electrical equipment at customer sites. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and a willingness to travel for field service assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, commission, and configure UPS systems at customer locations.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of UPS systems.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and electronic faults efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections and health checks of UPS systems and battery banks.
- Perform battery testing, replacement, and maintenance.
- Attend customer service calls and ensure timely issue resolution.
- Prepare service reports, maintenance records, and site visit documentation.
- Coordinate with the Sales and Technical teams for project execution and customer support.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and company procedures.
- Educate customers on the proper operation and maintenance of UPS systems.
- Support AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) and emergency service activities.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through professional service.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Online UPS systems and power backup solutions.
- Understanding of electrical circuits, control panels, and batteries.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and electrical faults.
- Good communication and customer handling skills.
- Basic computer knowledge for service reporting.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned region.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with single-phase and three-phase UPS systems.
- Knowledge of installation standards and electrical safety practices.
- Experience in AMC support and field service operations.
