Use and help improve team tools/processes (JIRA, Confluence, CI/CD)
Technical Skills
-
Apply deep React, Next.js, and Node.js expertise to make sound feature-level technology decisions
-
Handle complex state management, performance optimization, accessibility (WCAG), and design-system contributions
-
Debug cross-layer issues and collaborate across frontend, backend, and mobile boundaries
-
Proactively identify and address technical debt
Collaboration
-
Lead design discussions and code reviews; advocate for best practices
-
Communicate technical trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders alike
-
Build strong cross-team relationships; actively engage in sprint ceremonies and retros
Innovation
-
Propose solutions to non-obvious engineering challenges
-
Help define team engineering standards and identify architecture improvement opportunities
-
Stay resilient and adaptable amid change
Observability
-
Build observability into features from the start; lead monitoring improvements
-
Instrument Core Web Vitals and real-user monitoring (RUM); work within defined SLOs
-
Recommend monitoring improvements based on production data
Cloud Skills

Design and deploy cloud architectures (primarily GCP) for feature work
-
Identify cost/reliability improvements and apply advanced security patterns
-
Help shape team cloud standards
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
-
Serve as technical lead on medium-complexity projects
-
Drive measurable process improvements; mentor junior (GSR5) engineers
Contribute to PI planning and sprint commitment accuracy
