Job Title: Primary Teacher (PRT)
Job Summary:
The Primary Teacher (PRT) is responsible for teaching students from Grades 1 to 5, fostering a positive learning environment, and supporting their academic, social, and emotional development in alignment with the school’s curriculum and values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach core subjects such as English, Mathematics, Environmental Studies (EVS), and General Knowledge to primary grade students.
- Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans based on the school’s curriculum.
- Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Create a supportive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that encourages student participation.
- Monitor and assess student performance through classwork, assignments, tests, and observation.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and academic performance.
- Prepare report cards and participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student development.
- Encourage students in developing good habits, discipline, and respect for others.
- Integrate technology and digital tools into classroom teaching where applicable.
- Participate in school activities such as assemblies, events, and celebrations.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create interdisciplinary learning experiences.
- Maintain classroom discipline and address behavioral issues promptly and positively.
- Stay updated with latest NEP Guidelines.
- Take part in training programs, workshops, and staff meetings as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with B.Ed. (Primary Education specialization preferred).
- Minimum 2–3 years of teaching experience at the primary level.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Strong understanding of child-centric teaching approaches and foundational learning.
- Ability to foster a positive and nurturing learning environment.
- Familiarity with modern teaching aids, digital tools, and activity-based learning.
