NOTE - NOT FOR FRESHERS
- Own the end-to-end design of home appliance electronics: block diagrams, schematics, simulation, and layout — from first principles to production-ready Gerbers
- Select and integrate sensors (NTC thermistors, pressure transducers, current sensors, optical, ultrasonic) and define signal conditioning circuits for each
- Design PCBs for mains-powered consumer appliances including creepage/clearance compliance, EMI filtering, and mixed-signal partitioning
- Write embedded firmware in C/C++ targeting MCUs (STM32, ESP32, NXP, or equivalent): RTOS task scheduling, peripheral drivers (SPI, I²C, UART, ADC, PWM), and safety state machines
- Design power stages for heating elements, motors, pumps, and compressors including relay/triac/MOSFET drive circuits and inrush protection
- Define and run hardware bring-up procedures, debug with oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and thermal cameras; resolve board-level issues independently
- Build and validate test fixtures for production; write test specifications and acceptance criteria for contract manufacturers
- Prepare and manage technical documentation: design review packages, schematics, firmware source, DVT/PVT reports, and regulatory submission files
- Collaborate with industrial designers and mechanical engineers to define housing constraints, connector placements, and thermal dissipation paths
- Support CE/FCC/BIS/UL certification testing; resolve findings from pre-compliance EMC and safety labs
