Chief Technology Officer
Ezefare · Hyderabad, India · Full-time, on-site/hybrid
About Ezefare
Ezefare is a B2B corporate employee transportation platform, helping enterprise clients across IT/GCC, pharma, manufacturing, and BFSI manage employee commutes. We already have a working product — an Employee App, a Driver App, and a Client Dashboard Portal — live with early clients. We're now looking for a CTO to take that foundation and turn it into a scalable, defensible platform.
What You'll Actually Do
1. Learn and take ownership of what already exists
- Study the current codebase, architecture, and product (Employee App, Driver App, Client Dashboard/Analytics Portal)
- Identify what's solid, what's fragile, and what's missing
- Take full technical ownership going forward — this isn't a greenfield build, it's inheriting a live product and making it yours
2. Research before you build
- Evaluate the current tech stack and architecture decisions, and research whether they're the right long-term foundation
- Investigate the right tools, frameworks, and infrastructure choices for where Ezefare is headed — not just what's easiest today
- Bring informed recommendations, not just execution
3. Grow and evolve the product
- Redesign, refactor, or rebuild parts of the system as needed — you have the mandate to make real changes, not just patch things
- Own the technical roadmap: what gets built, in what order, and why
- Build out safety-critical and enterprise-required features (SOS, OTP/QR verification, masked calling, analytics/reporting) to a production-grade standard
4. Build your own team — or run it solo, your call
- Decide whether to hire developers, work with freelancers/agencies, or build solo in the early stages
- If and when you hire, you own recruiting, onboarding, and managing that team
- Set engineering practices, code standards, and delivery processes for however the team ends up structured
5. Own everything software-related, end to end
- Architecture, development, QA, deployment, infrastructure, security, and data
- Vendor/tool decisions (hosting, third-party APIs, dev tools)
- Technical support for enterprise client onboarding and SLA compliance from the tech side
- From this point forward, the founders should be able to step back from technology entirely — that responsibility sits with you
What We're Looking For
- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack web and backend development
- Real experience owning systems, not just contributing to them — you should be comfortable being the final decision-maker on technical calls
- Ability to both "research and execute" — this role needs someone who investigates the right approach, not just someone who codes fast
- Comfortable working in an early-stage, resource-constrained environment where you'll wear multiple hats
- Whether you prefer building solo initially or hiring a team quickly — either is fine, as long as you can make that call and deliver
- A long-term mindset — this is a serious, ongoing commitment, not a short-term gig
What You Get
- Full control of the technology function — not a "Head of Engineering" reporting into a non-technical founder, but the final word on all things tech
- A live product and early clients to build on, not a blank page
- A working partnership with the founders, scoped clearly to technology — this is not an ownership or equity stake in the business, and it doesn't extend into business strategy or company decisions outside of tech
- Compensation to be discussed directly
