- An HTML programmer (or Developer) creates and maintains website layouts and user interfaces. They write semantic, clean code using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to convert design mock-ups into responsive, functional web pages. They ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimal website performance.
- Key Responsibilities
- Web Development: Write high-quality, semantic HTML code to structure web page content and layouts.
- Responsive Design: Develop mobile-first designs to ensure the website is fully functional across various devices (desktops, tablets, and smartphones).
- Testing & Debugging: Identify and resolve cross-browser compatibility issues, layout inconsistencies, and broken elements.
- Collaboration: Work alongside UX/UI designers, back-end developers, and content creators to integrate front-end components with databases and APIs.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize web pages for speed, SEO, and accessibility (WCAG/ARIA standards).
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Core Technologies: Expert knowledge of HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, and core JavaScript.
- Frameworks: Familiarity with CSS preprocessors (LESS/SASS) and front-end frameworks (e.g., Bootstrap, Tailwind, or React).
- Tools: Proficiency with version control systems (e.g., Git) and browser developer tools
