An MIS cum Accountant in a manufacturing unit manages daily accounting entries (Tally/ERP), inventory tracking, and vendor payments, while preparing daily/monthly MIS reports (sales, production, inventory) using advanced Excel. They analyze financial data for, and ensure statutory compliance (GST/TDS) and inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Accounting Functions: Daily bookkeeping, managing Accounts Payable/Receivable, bank reconciliation, cash flow, and payroll processing.
- Manufacturing MIS Reporting: Prepare daily production logs, stock valuation reports, inventory consumption reports, and Sales-Production-Inventory (SPI) dashboards.
- Cost Accounting: Analyze manufacturing costs, standard vs. actual cost variances, and identify areas for cost reduction.
- Compliance & Tax: Calculate and file monthly GST and TDS returns.
- Data Management: Maintain, update, and reconcile inventory data in ERP/Tally.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com/M.Com) or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2–3 years in manufacturing or similar industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally ERP 9/Prime, Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
Typical Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing accounts.
- Experience with ERP systems like Tally.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory regulations
