The Role’s Mission
As our Warehouse and Inventory Manager, you are the custodian of Lyter’s physical asset integrity. Your mission is to build and maintain a zero-error storage ecosystem that scales seamlessly with our fast-growing business operations. Managing a highly complex inventory profile of over 2,000+ unique SKUs, you will bridge the gap between physical organization and digital precision. By successfully executing our ERP inventory modules and embedding lean 5S disciplines on the floor, you ensure our supply chain operates with absolute accuracy, maximum visibility, and flawless efficiency.
The Role: System-Driven Layout & Team Leadership
This is an on-site leadership position that demands both high-level system implementation and ground-level execution. You will oversee the complete lifecycle of Raw Materials (RAW), Semi-Finished Goods (SFG), and Finished Goods (FG), while leading a dedicated team of warehouse associates to meet daily shipping and packing demands.
Key Outcomes (First 6 Months)
- ERP Warehouse Implementation: Partner with our systems vendor to completely deploy, test, and stabilize the inventory and warehousing modules in the company ERP, achieving 99%+ system-to-physical inventory accuracy.
- 5S Optimization: Design and roll out a plant-wide 5S mapping framework, ensuring all 2,000+ SKUs are perfectly sorted, dynamically labelled, and visible for optimized picking.
- Fulfilment Velocity: Streamline packing and shipping operations to reduce order-to-dispatch turnaround times by 25% with zero packing errors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Comprehensive Inventory Management & SKU Integrity
- Take absolute ownership of the secure storage, tracking, and maintenance of all Finished Goods (FG), Raw Materials (RAW), and Semi-Finished Goods (SFG).
- Maintain error-free stock counts across a complex matrix of 2,000+ unique SKUs, implementing daily/weekly cycle counting schedules to eliminate stock variances.
2. Lean 5S Workplace Standardization
- Establish and champion strict 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) across all warehouse layouts.
- Ensure the entire facility remains thoroughly labeled, meticulously clean, and strategically organized at all times to maximize floor safety, visibility, and spatial efficiency.
3. Dispatch, Packing & Team Management
- Directly manage, mentor, and train a team of warehouse associates to execute rapid, accurate packing and shipping operations.
- Optimize shift schedules and work allocations to handle high-volume month-end peaks smoothly and safely.
4. Strategic Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Lyter’s leadership team (Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Sales) to ensure warehouse capacities can dynamically support all scaling business workflows and seasonal product launches.
5. ERP Technology Implementation
- Act as the functional lead for the ERP implementation of inventory, stock, and warehousing modules.
- Map physical warehouse locations into the digital system, establish digital reorder triggers, and eliminate reliance on manual data logs to secure a reliable foundation for company expansion.
6. Special Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Proactively execute operational audits and spearhead any other supply chain or infrastructure projects as assigned by the management team to eliminate efficiency leaks.
