Devi Sahai Charan Dass Associates is the Authorised Del Credre Agent for Reliance Industries across both the Textile and Polymer divisions. In Textiles, we have been partnered with Reliance since 1972 — over 50 years of consistent growth — making us the largest Textile DCA in India with a robust network of wholesalers, retailers, and uniform businesses.
In Polymers, our association with Reliance began in 2003. We deal in Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Polyvinyl Chloride, and PET serving sectors including Hygiene, Packaging, Pipes, Fibre Optic Cables, and Automotive. We are among the largest Reliance DCAs in the Delhi Regional Office by volume.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Plastic Engineer (Polymer Specialist) will combine technical expertise in polymer science with strong market acumen to drive business growth. The role involves analyzing polymer grades, identifying market opportunities, and building client relationships to expand sales while ensuring effective servicing of existing customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
▸ Analyse and select appropriate polymer grades for various applications, ensuring
▸ optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
▸ Stay updated on the latest advancements in polymer science and plastic engineering
▸ to keep up with the customer demands.
▸ Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive
▸ products.
▸ Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the market segments and applications
▸ where the company’s products can be positioned.
▸ Identify potential business opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate new
▸ markets.
▸ Individually handle customer meetings with top management and bring sales
▸ Do comparative pricing with competition and convince customers
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Plastic Engineering or Polymer Science
Any Similar Degree with experience in Polymer field is preferred.
Course/ Degree in Marketing
Computer Knowledge of Excel Formulas, Google Sheets etc
Experience:
2+ years of progressive experience in Polymer industries, with at least 1 year in a
managerial role.
Prior experience in similar industry is a plus. (Preferably Reliance System)
Fresher is also be preferred but have a background in Polymer.
Skills:
Strong understanding of Technical Knowledge of Polymers and thorough
understanding of Polymer Grades
Proficiency in Excel, SAP, and ability to handle clients single handedly
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail and marketing skills.
