Job Summary:
We are seeking a Special Educator to support students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive learning environment. The candidate will work closely with students, teachers, parents, and support staff to develop individualized learning strategies, facilitate academic and social development, and ensure that every learner receives the support required to achieve their full potential in accordance with the IB philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assess students' learning needs through observations and educational assessments, and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
· Provide individualized and small-group instruction to support students' academic, social, behavioral, and independent learning skills.
· Collaborate with teachers to implement inclusive teaching strategies, classroom accommodations, and differentiated instruction.
· Monitor student progress, review IEPs periodically, and maintain accurate records and documentation.
· Collaborate with parents, teachers, caregivers, therapists, counsellors, and other professionals to implement appropriate intervention strategies and ensure holistic support for students.
· Participate in parent meetings, case conferences, professional development programs, and school activities.
· Promote an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment aligned with the IB philosophy and school policies.
Desired Candidates Qualifications
· Bachelor's or Master's Degree with B.Ed./M.Ed. in Special Education from an RCI-recognized institution.
· 2–5 years of experience as a Special Educator; in a school environment, with a proven track record of supporting learners through individualized instruction.
· Knowledge of inclusive education, Individualized Education Plans(IEP) development, differentiated instruction, and classroom accommodations.
· Familiarity with learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, hearing impairment, intellectual disabilities, and other special educational needs.
· Good communication, interpersonal, counselling, and collaboration skills.
· Ability to work effectively with students, parents, teachers, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams.
· Good documentation, observation, and progress-monitoring skills.
· Proficiency in MS Office and educational technology tools.
