Job Title: AutoCAD Draughtsman – Mechanical & PEB Structures
We are looking for an experienced AutoCAD Draughtsman with knowledge of mechanical and structural fabrication drawings. The candidate should be capable of preparing accurate 2D drawings for:
- Industrial steam boilers and related components
- Chimneys, ducts and supporting structures
- Air Preheaters (APH)
- Water tanks and associated piping/layouts
- Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) structures
- General arrangement, fabrication and erection drawings
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed mechanical, structural and fabrication drawings using AutoCAD.
- Develop GA drawings, assembly drawings, shop drawings and sectional details.
- Prepare PEB framing, connection and erection drawings.
- Create accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and material cutting lists.
- Revise drawings according to site measurements, engineering inputs and client requirements.
- Coordinate with engineers, production and site teams to ensure drawings are practical and error-free.
- Maintain proper drawing records, revisions and documentation.
Required Skills:
- Strong command of AutoCAD 2D.
- Good understanding of mechanical and structural drawings.
- Knowledge of steel fabrication, welding details and structural sections.
- Experience with boilers, chimneys, APH systems, water tanks or PEB structures is preferred.
- Ability to understand technical specifications and site measurements.
- Knowledge of MS Excel and basic estimation will be an advantage.
Experience: 2–5 years in mechanical, structural or industrial fabrication drafting.
Qualification: Diploma/ITI/B.Tech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
