Role Overview
The Technology Manager is responsible for leading engineering teams, driving technology strategy, ensuring delivery excellence, and fostering innovation across the organization. This role combines technical leadership, people management, operational excellence, and strategic planning to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions that support business objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess strong engineering expertise, leadership capabilities, experience with modern cloud technologies, and a passion for leveraging emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), to improve productivity, quality, and business outcomes.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute technology roadmaps aligned with organizational goals and product strategy.
- Drive technology modernization initiatives, platform improvements, and engineering best practices.
- Provide leadership in technical decision-making, architecture reviews, and solution design.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption strategies to improve business performance.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
AI Adoption & Digital Transformation
- Champion the adoption of AI-powered tools and workflows across engineering and operational teams.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency through AI and automation.
- Support implementation of AI-driven solutions, process automation, and intelligent workflows.
- Promote responsible, secure, and compliant use of AI technologies.
- Drive AI learning, enablement, and knowledge-sharing initiatives across teams.
Engineering Delivery & Execution
- Lead engineering teams to successfully deliver projects, releases, and enhancements on schedule.
- Establish delivery plans, resource allocation strategies, and execution priorities.
- Monitor project health, delivery risks, dependencies, and resource utilization.
- Ensure predictable sprint execution and continuous delivery improvements.
- Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining delivery quality.
People Leadership & Talent Development
- Build, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams.
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and career development planning.
- Support succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
- Foster employee engagement, collaboration, and a positive team culture.
- Partner with HR in recruitment, onboarding, and retention efforts.
Technical Excellence & Architecture Governance
- Establish and enforce software engineering standards and best practices.
- Oversee solution architecture, system scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Drive initiatives to improve code quality, reduce technical debt, and enhance platform performance.
- Ensure engineering teams follow development standards, design principles, and review processes.
- Guide teams in designing resilient and scalable technology solutions.
Quality, Stability & Reliability
- Ensure delivery of reliable, secure, and high-quality software products.
- Drive initiatives to reduce defects, improve release quality, and strengthen testing practices.
- Monitor production performance, system availability, and operational reliability.
- Lead root cause analysis and resolution of critical production issues.
- Establish processes to continuously improve software quality and customer experience.
DevOps, Cloud & Infrastructure Management
- Drive continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and release automation practices.
- Oversee cloud infrastructure utilization, scalability, security, and cost optimization.
- Ensure effective monitoring, observability, incident management, and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Support infrastructure modernization and operational excellence initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain secure and reliable environments.
Stakeholder & Business Management
- Collaborate with Product Management, QA, Operations, Customer Success, and Leadership teams.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
- Communicate project status, risks, recommendations, and strategic initiatives to stakeholders.
- Ensure technology investments and initiatives support organizational objectives.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Financial & Resource Management
- Manage engineering budgets, technology investments, and resource allocation.
- Evaluate tools, platforms, and vendor partnerships to maximize business value.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency.
- Monitor utilization and productivity across engineering teams.
- Support capacity planning and workforce forecasting activities.
Ownership & Accountability
- Take ownership of engineering outcomes, technology performance, and delivery commitments.
- Proactively identify and resolve risks, blockers, and operational challenges.
- Lead teams during critical incidents and business-impacting situations.
- Ensure accountability for strategic decisions and operational execution.
- Drive a results-oriented culture focused on business impact and customer success.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing engineering teams.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or other cloud platforms.
- Hands-on experience with modern software development technologies such as .NET, Java, Node.js, Python, or equivalent.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, microservices, APIs, cloud-native development, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, DevOps, CI/CD, and modern software delivery practices.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled development tools and productivity platforms.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Pay: ₹2,500,000.00 - ₹3,500,000.00 per year
