We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Interior Architect to lead the design and technical development of residential and commercial interior projects. The ideal candidate should have strong design sensibility, technical knowledge, project coordination skills, and the ability to take projects from concept to execution while maintaining quality, timelines, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of interior architecture projects from concept to execution.
- Develop detailed layouts, furniture plans, ceiling plans, flooring plans, elevations, sections, and working drawings.
- Prepare and review detailed technical drawings and construction documentation.
- Coordinate with clients, designers, site supervisors, contractors, vendors, and consultants.
- Conduct site visits and ensure designs are accurately implemented at site.
- Select and specify materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, hardware, and other design elements.
- Review shop drawings, BOQs, material samples, and execution details.
- Identify technical issues and provide practical design and execution solutions.
- Ensure all drawings and designs comply with project requirements, measurements, and site conditions.
- Monitor project progress and coordinate with the execution team to ensure timely completion.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining design quality and attention to detail.
- Guide and mentor junior designers and architects.
- Participate in client presentations and design discussions.
- Maintain proper documentation, revisions, and drawing records throughout the project.
- Ensure the final execution matches the approved design intent and quality standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in interior architecture/design and execution.
- Strong knowledge of residential and commercial interior design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and MS Office; knowledge of 3D rendering software is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of materials, furniture detailing, finishes, lighting, services, and construction techniques.
- Excellent knowledge of working drawings and technical detailing.
- Strong site coordination and problem-solving abilities.
- Good communication, presentation, and client-handling skills.
- Ability to manage timelines, priorities, and multiple projects independently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Candidate
A candidate with experience in turnkey interior projects, site execution, vendor coordination, material selection, and technical detailing will be preferred.
