- Read and understand engineering drawings and job cards
- Set up tools, fixtures, and workpieces correctly
- Perform turning, facing, drilling, threading, and boring operations
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish
- Measure components using vernier caliper, micrometer, gauges, etc.
- Ensure machine safety and housekeeping standards
- Report machine issues or defects to supervisor
- Meet daily production targets and quality norms
Proficient in reading technical drawings and blueprints
- Ability to set up, operate and maintain lathe machines
- Experience in using measuring tools such as micrometers and gauges
- Familiarity with different materials and their machining properties
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to machining
