Role & Responsibilities of Store In-Charge
1. Inward & Outward Entry
- Maintain proper records of all incoming (inward) and outgoing (outward) materials
- Update stock in system/register immediately
- Verify quantity and quality during receipt and dispatch
2. Stock Monitoring & Congestion Control
- Track which units/sections have excess stock (congestion)
- Identify slow-moving and fast-moving items
- Ensure proper space utilization in store
- Take action to reduce overstock and avoid shortages
3. Coordination with Supplier & Warehouse Teams
- Communicate regularly with suppliers for delivery schedules
- Coordinate with warehouse team for stock movement and storage
- Follow up for pending materials and delays
4. Repair Items Handling
- Maintain separate records for damaged/repair items
- Send items for repair and track status
- Ensure repaired items are received and updated in stock
- Coordinate with vendors/service teams for repair work
5. Purchasing of Items
- Raise purchase requests based on stock requirement
- Ensure timely procurement of materials
- Compare prices and ensure cost-effective purchasing
- Follow approval process before placing orders
