Job Title: Japanese Language Tutor
Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Japanese Language Tutor to teach Japanese to students at beginner to intermediate/advanced levels (JLPT N5–N2/N1). The tutor will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons, developing students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, and preparing learners for real-life communication and JLPT exams.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Japanese language courses (N5 to N2/N1 as required)
Explain grammar, vocabulary, kanji, and sentence structures clearly
Conduct speaking, listening, reading, and writing practice
Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, and practice activities
Train students for JLPT exams (if applicable)
Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback
Conduct online or offline classes as per schedule
Encourage interactive learning through role-plays and conversations
Maintain attendance and basic academic records
Requirements
Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N3/N2/N1 preferred)
Prior teaching experience is an advantage (freshers with strong skills may apply)
Good communication skills in English (and/or local language)
Ability to teach beginners patiently
Familiarity with Japanese culture is a plus
Comfortable with online teaching tools (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
JLPT certification
Teaching certification or language-training experience
Experience teaching students of different age groups
