Job Summary
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and managing distributor and retailer networks for frozen chicken products across the assigned region. The role involves achieving sales targets, handling channel sales, managing key accounts, developing the sales team, and ensuring excellent market execution in retail, wholesale, and HORECA segments.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for frozen chicken products.
- Develop and implement regional sales strategies to increase market share and profitability.
- Appoint and manage distributors, super stockists, dealers, and retailers within the region.
- Expand business in Retail, Modern Trade, General Trade, and HORECA channels.
- Monitor primary and secondary sales performance.
- Conduct regular market visits to identify new business opportunities and customer requirements.
- Build strong relationships with distributors, retailers, wholesalers, and institutional buyers.
- Ensure proper product availability, visibility, and merchandising in the market.
- Coordinate with production, cold storage, logistics, and supply chain teams for timely deliveries.
- Analyze competitor activities, pricing, schemes, and market trends.
- Lead, motivate, and train Area Sales Managers, Sales Officers, and field sales teams.
- Review team performance and ensure effective route planning and market coverage.
- Monitor outstanding payments and ensure timely collection from customers.
- Prepare sales forecasts, MIS reports, market intelligence reports, and business reviews.
- Execute promotional activities, trade schemes, and product launch campaigns.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, sales processes, and reporting systems.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Frozen Chicken / Frozen Food / FMCG sales.
- Expertise in channel sales and distribution management.
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Analytical mindset with market understanding.
- Ability to handle pressure and achieve targets.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, and sales reporting tools.
- Team management and field coaching capability.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
