Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and organized Warehouse Incharge to oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. The role involves managing inventory, supervising warehouse staff, ensuring efficient storage and dispatch of goods, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods
- Supervise, allocate tasks to, and monitor performance of warehouse staff and helpers
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits/cycle counts
- Ensure proper stacking, storage, and space utilization as per SOPs and safety norms
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders, invoices, and delivery challans
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and logistics teams for smooth material flow
- Minimize stock discrepancies, damages, and losses through proper handling and monitoring
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and adherence to 5S principles
- Ensure timely dispatch of orders and coordinate with transporters for pickups
- Prepare and maintain warehouse documentation (GRNs, stock registers, dispatch reports, etc.)
- Implement and enforce safety protocols, including proper use of equipment (forklifts, pallet trucks, etc.)
- Report inventory levels, discrepancies, and operational issues to management
- Handle FIFO/FEFO inventory management practices as applicable
- Assist in warehouse layout planning and process improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3–6 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and warehouse management practices
- Proficiency in MS Excel and warehouse/ERP software (e.g., SAP, Tally, WMS platforms)
- Good understanding of safety regulations and material handling procedures
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with barcode scanning systems and WMS software
- Familiarity with GST, e-way bills, and related statutory documentation (India-specific)
- Prior experience handling multi-location or multi-entity warehouse operations
- Forklift/material handling equipment operation knowledge
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
