About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Curriculum Developer – Mathematics to lead and support the development and implementation of high-quality Mathematics curriculum across our school locations.
The ideal candidate will have 8–12 years of hands-on Mathematics teaching experience, with strong exposure to both CBSE and ICSE curricula. The candidate should understand classroom realities, teacher development, lesson planning, and academic career progression, and should be comfortable travelling to our schools to work directly with teachers and academic teams.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development
- Develop, review, and continuously improve Mathematics curriculum aligned with CBSE and ICSE standards.
- Design structured curriculum frameworks, academic plans, learning outcomes, and progression pathways across grades.
- Ensure appropriate sequencing of concepts, skills, and competencies across grade levels.
- Develop and curate teaching resources, worksheets, assessments, and other academic materials.
- Review curriculum effectiveness through classroom observations, teacher feedback, and student learning outcomes.
Teacher Support & Academic Mentoring
- Travel regularly to our school locations and work closely with Mathematics teachers and academic leaders.
- Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive, actionable feedback to teachers.
- Mentor teachers on effective teaching methodologies, classroom engagement, questioning techniques, and differentiated instruction.
- Identify teachers' academic and professional development needs and recommend appropriate training interventions.
- Conduct workshops, training sessions, and subject-specific professional development programs.
Lesson Planning
- Develop and standardize effective lesson-planning frameworks for Mathematics.
- Guide teachers in creating engaging, concept-based, and outcome-oriented lesson plans.
- Support teachers in incorporating activities, technology, real-world applications, and differentiated learning strategies.
- Review lesson plans and provide feedback to ensure alignment with curriculum objectives and student needs.
Career Planning & Teacher Development
- Work with teachers to understand their professional aspirations and create individual career-development pathways.
- Identify strengths, development areas, and opportunities for academic growth.
- Support teachers in building subject expertise, leadership capabilities, and classroom effectiveness.
- Assist academic leadership in identifying and developing high-potential teachers for future leadership roles.
Academic Quality & School Collaboration
- Collaborate with Principals, Academic Coordinators, and school leadership teams to maintain consistent academic standards.
- Monitor curriculum implementation across different school locations.
- Identify gaps in teaching and learning and recommend practical solutions.
- Support schools in preparing for academic reviews, inspections, and board-related requirements.
- Track implementation of curriculum initiatives and report observations and recommendations to senior management.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related discipline.
- 8–12 years of teaching experience in Mathematics.
- Strong teaching experience with both CBSE and ICSE boards.
- Demonstrated experience in lesson planning, curriculum design, teacher mentoring, and academic coordination.
- Strong understanding of Mathematics pedagogy and age-appropriate learning methodologies.
- Experience working with teachers across multiple grades and/or school locations is highly desirable.
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to our school locations.
