About the role
Filante Global Services powers two fast-growing D2C brands Bmado and Wekitch. We're looking for a sharp, street-smart Product Research & Procurement Executive to identify winning products from local markets, manufacturers, and suppliers and bring them into our brand pipeline. This is a hands-on field + desk role for someone who loves spotting opportunities, negotiating deals, and building supplier relationships that give us a real product edge.
Key responsibilities
- Research and identify trending, high-potential products suited to the Indian D2C market from local markets, trade fairs, wholesale hubs, and online platforms
- Source and evaluate manufacturers, artisans, and suppliers assess quality, pricing, MOQ, and lead times before onboarding
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and exclusivity agreements with vendors to ensure the best margins for the brand
- Coordinate sample procurement, product testing, and quality checks before bulk orders are placed
- Maintain a structured product research tracker documenting supplier details, pricing benchmarks, and product performance notes
- Work closely with the marketing team to align product sourcing with campaign plans, seasonal demand, and customer feedback
- Monitor competitor products and market trends — flag new opportunities and gaps that our brands can fill
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in product sourcing, procurement, merchandising, or a related field FMCG, kitchenware, or lifestyle products preferred
- Strong eye for product quality, market fit, and consumer appeal — you can walk through a market and spot what will sell
- Confident negotiator comfortable dealing directly with manufacturers, small suppliers, and artisans
- Comfortable with field visits — ability to travel locally and regionally to markets, factories, or trade fairs as needed
- Basic proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for maintaining trackers and cost comparisons
- Good communication in Malayalam and English; Hindi is a plus
