Role Objective
The Senior Marketing Executive will be responsible for generating patient referrals and increasing hospital visibility through regular field marketing, doctor connect, pharmacy connect, corporate outreach, community activities, and local relationship-building.
The person will also lead and supervise a team of marketing/sales executives and ensure that daily field activities are properly planned, executed, reported, and converted into measurable business for the hospital.
This role requires a mature, disciplined, target-driven, and people-oriented professional who can work independently, manage a team, build strong external relationships, and represent the hospital professionally in the market.
Key Responsibilities1. Referral Marketing & Doctor Connect
The candidate will be responsible for regularly meeting private practitioners, clinics, nursing homes, specialists, general physicians, RMPs, and other healthcare professionals to build referral relationships for the hospital.
He should maintain a proper database of doctors and referral sources, conduct regular follow-ups, understand their requirements, resolve coordination issues, and ensure that referral relationships are converted into actual patient footfall.
He must also promote the hospital’s key departments, specialties, doctors, facilities, packages, emergency services, ICU, diagnostics, surgeries, and other available services.
2. Pharmacy, Diagnostic Centre & Local Network Development
The candidate will identify and regularly visit pharmacies, diagnostic centres, labs, local health service providers, ambulance operators, societies, RWAs, NGOs, and local influencers who can help increase hospital visibility and patient inflow.
He will be responsible for creating a strong local network around the hospital and ensuring that the hospital remains visible and preferred in its catchment area.
3. Corporate & Institutional Tie-ups
The candidate will approach corporates, factories, schools, colleges, offices, housing societies, associations, and institutions for health check-up camps, employee health programs, OPD tie-ups, emergency support, wellness programs, and other hospital services.
He should be able to present the hospital professionally, explain service offerings, coordinate meetings, and follow up for closure.
4. Community Activities & Health Camps
The candidate will plan, supervise, and execute community outreach activities such as health camps, awareness programs, canopy activities, doctor talks, screening camps, society activities, and local promotional events.
He will coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, diagnostic teams, operations team, and marketing executives to ensure smooth execution of these activities.
He will also ensure that every activity has proper pre-planning, branding, patient registration, lead capture, follow-up, and conversion tracking.
5. Team Leadership & Supervision
The candidate will lead a team of 3–4 marketing/sales executives. He will assign daily field tasks, define visit plans, review performance, guide team members, and ensure discipline in reporting and follow-up.
He should be mature enough to handle field staff, motivate them, correct them where required, and ensure that the team works in a structured and target-oriented manner.
Team-leading experience is mandatory for this position.
6. Daily Reporting & MIS
The candidate will be responsible for submitting daily reports covering:
· Doctors visited
· Pharmacies visited
· Corporates/institutions visited
· Camps or community activities planned/executed
· Leads generated
· Patient referrals received
· Follow-ups pending
· Team-wise daily performance
· Market feedback
· Competitor activity
· Issues requiring management support
All reports should be factual, structured, and submitted on time.
Key Performance Indicators
The candidate’s performance will be measured on the basis of:
· Number of doctor visits per day/week
· Number of active referral sources developed
· Patient referrals generated
· OPD/IPD conversion from referral sources
· Number of pharmacy and local network tie-ups
· Corporate and institutional meetings generated
· Health camps and community activities executed
· Leads generated and converted
· Team performance and reporting discipline
· Market intelligence and competitor feedback
· Improvement in hospital visibility in the assigned area
Required Experience
Minimum 3–4 years of field sales, marketing, referral marketing, business development, or relationship management experience.
Experience in hospital marketing, healthcare, diagnostics, pharma, insurance, medical equipment, or corporate sales will be preferred.
However, candidates from other industries may also be considered if they have strong field-sales experience and proven team-leading capability.
Prior experience of leading a team is mandatory.

Qualification
Graduate in any discipline.
MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration, or Business Development will be preferred but is not mandatory.
Relevant field experience and team-handling ability will be given higher importance than academic qualification.
Compensation
Salary will be based on experience, market knowledge, communication skills, team-handling ability, and past performance.
Incentive structure may be offered based on referral generation, business conversion, and achievement of monthly targets.
Salary range Rs 25000/- to 30000/- per month
