Position Overview:
The Principal serves as the academic and administrative head of the institution, responsible for providing visionary leadership, ensuring academic excellence, and fostering a positive and inclusive school culture in alignment with CBSE guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Academic Leadership
- Ensure effective implementation of the CBSE curriculum and adherence to board regulations
- Drive academic excellence through innovative teaching methodologies and continuous assessment practices
- Monitor student performance and implement strategies for improvement
- Promote holistic education, integrating co-curricular and extracurricular activities
2. Administration & Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school
- Ensure compliance with CBSE norms, safety standards, and statutory requirements
- Maintain discipline and a safe, conducive learning environment
3. Staff Management, Observation & Development
- Mentor and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers
- Identify areas of improvement and organize training, workshops, and professional development programmes
- Maintain performance records and ensure continuous upskilling of staff
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and growth-oriented work culture
4. Student Development & Welfare
- Ensure the overall well-being, discipline, and holistic development of students
- Encourage leadership, values, and life skills among students
- Address student concerns with sensitivity and fairness
5. Parent & Community Engagement
- Build strong and transparent relationships with parents and stakeholders
- Organize regular parent-teacher meetings and school events
- Represent the school in external forums and community engagements
6. Strategic Planning & Institutional Growth
- Contribute to the long-term vision and strategic development of the institution
- Drive admissions, branding, and outreach initiatives in coordination with management
- Implement innovative programmes to enhance the school’s reputation
7. Collaboration with Management
- Work closely with the school management to ensure smooth and effective functioning of all school operations
- Provide regular updates, reports, and insights to the management
- Support decision-making processes with data-driven inputs and professional expertise
8. Financial & Resource Management
- Assist in budget planning and ensure optimal utilization of resources
- Maintain transparency and accountability in administrative processes
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s Degree in a relevant subject with B.Ed (mandatory as per CBSE norms)
- Minimum 8–10 years of teaching experience with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of CBSE regulations and academic frameworks
