Role Overview
The Vice Principal – Junior School will work closely with the Principal in providing academic and administrative leadership for the junior wing of the school. The role requires a passionate educator and effective administrator committed to academic excellence, student well-being, staff development, and strong parent engagement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Academic Leadership
- Support the Principal in planning and implementing the curriculum for the junior school
- Guide and mentor teachers in lesson planning, pedagogy, classroom practices, and assessments
- Monitor student learning outcomes and recommend strategies for continuous improvement
- Ensure delivery of high-quality teaching and learning standards
2. Student Welfare
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive school environment
- Oversee student well-being, discipline, and behavioral frameworks
- Work closely with counselors and support staff to address students’ social and emotional needs
- Promote a culture of values, respect, and holistic development
3. Staff Leadership & Development
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of high-quality teaching and non-teaching staff
- Conduct regular staff meetings and academic reviews
- Drive professional development initiatives, workshops, and training programs
- Build a collaborative and performance-driven team culture
4. Parent & Community Engagement
- Build strong and positive relationships with parents
- Lead parent meetings, orientations, and PTMs
- Address parent concerns with empathy and professionalism
- Strengthen the school’s community connect and institutional reputation
5. Operations & Administration
- Ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the junior school
- Oversee scheduling, resource planning, and academic calendars
- Maintain student records, discipline logs, and academic reports
- Coordinate with the Principal on compliance and administrative matters
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Education or related field
- B.Ed / teaching certification preferred
- Prior leadership experience in a reputed school
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities
- Sound knowledge of curriculum planning and best teaching practices
- Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning tools
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
